Our story
Medicine with purpose. Care without compromise.
Enlightened Primary Care was founded on a simple belief: patients deserve a doctor who knows them, has time for them, and uses every tool available — including their genetics — to keep them healthy.

Our mission
Why we are leaving "traditional" medicine behind
The traditional insurance-driven model forces physicians to see 25-30 patients a day, spending an average of 7 minutes per visit. That's not medicine — it's triage. We built Enlightened Primary Care as a "team effort" to do it differently: an intentionally small membership practice where every patient gets the time, attention, and the personalized care they deserve.
Our approach
Precision. Prevention. Partnership.
Genetics-first prevention
We use your DNA code to identify risks before they become diagnoses — building prevention plans that are uniquely yours, not based on population averages.
Root cause medicine
We look beyond symptoms to understand why you're unwell — addressing underlying causes rather than simply treating symptoms.
Integrative & functional
We blend evidence-based AI-guided approaches to nutrition, lifestyle, and functional testing with evidence based-integration of medications and natural supplements — for safe and effective holistic care.
True partnership
You have direct access to your physician — not a nurse line, not a portal message. A chance to have a real relationship with a doctor who knows your story.
Meet your physicians
Two dedicated physicians. One shared vision: medicine the way it was meant to be.

Dr. Adrianne was "home grown" in San Antonio, graduating from Incarnate Word high school as her graduating class Salutatorian. She attended St. Mary's University in SATX as an undergraduate Biology Major on a full academic scholarship. After Residency training she returned to SATX for Fellowship training in the Medical Subspecialty of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. She has practiced medicine in San Antonio since 1999 after starting Alamo Asthma & Allergy Associates with her husband Dr. Mike. Together they have evaluated and treated over 35,000 "Allergy" patients. Dr. Adrianne founded Enlightened Primary Care (EPC) after years of watching the traditional medical system fail patients and physicians alike. She brings a deep commitment to preventive care based on integrating cutting-edge genetic technology. Her passion is using genetic analysis to identify inherited risks before they manifest — giving patients a roadmap for lifelong health rather than reactive treatment plans. Her professional goal is to incorporate "Concierge" Services into her Medical Practice so she will never again feel rushed during a patient interaction.

Dr. Mike began his career as a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology where he gained extensive experience in Human Genetics. His Residency training in Internal Medicine was completed at Wilford Hall Medical Center in SATX. He was Chief of Medical Services and Director of Emergency Medicine at Hill AFB Hospital in Ogden Utah. He returned to SATX for Fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at UTHSC-SA and worked part-time as a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician in the Baptist Hospital system while he and his wife Dr. Adrianne built a thriving Allergy Practice. He began offering Medical Genetics services in 2023 practicing as "Genetic Insights" and has since developed a passion for preventive medicine. His personal experiences with Primary Care Medicine in San Antonio illuminated the need for greater integration of genetic testing into preventive care. Due to time constraints on PCPs, he believes that the "Concierge" model is the only way human genetics can be effectively incorporated into preventive care planning; and he has chosen to evolve his practice of medicine to meet this new challenge.
